About Us
The Fathers' Rights Association of New York State, Inc. (F.R.A.N.Y.S.) is a charitable not-for-profit all volunteer educational organization that seeks, through equal parenting rights, to ensure that children maintain a continuing, nurturing relationship with both parents after divorce or separation.
The F.R.A. of N.Y.S., Inc., is an educational and advocacy organization dedicated to strengthening the relationships between fathers and their children. Our goal is to increase public awareness and to educate the public and elected officials, lawmakers and the courts as to the importance of fair parenting laws, as well as to offer assistance to families in crisis.
We provide peer support to our members along with resource materials and referrals to service providers. The association's goals are to promote shared parenting and to assist fathers in their rights of equal access to their children. The association holds regular meetings during which literature, legal advice, and emotional counseling are provided.

"Her extensive knowledge of the law and her deep understanding of legal precedents and statutes were impressive."
Her courtroom performance is a masterclass in legal strategy and advocacy, making her a formidable opponent for any adversary.

"Sari did not stoop to the level of some other dirty-tactic attorneys when we went head-to-head, helping establish and maintain credibility and respect amongst all parties involved."
She works with integrity and backs her reputation as an advocate for Father's Rights with well-attended pro-bono monthly meetings (which at that time were hosted by her daughter and current partner Andrea).
- Thomas -
"Before working with Andrea, I was with a lawyer that didn’t prepare, didn’t fight for my rights as a father"
Andrea was diligent, listened and worked with what I wanted to accomplish and with her expertise and experience, I am able to raise my daughter.
- Carl -
"When I first spoke with Sari Friedman during our initial consultation, I could tell that she was intelligent and very experienced."
They kept their strategy focused on collaborative resolution and their arguments limited to what was in the best interest of my children, without resorting to he said/she said mudslinging tactics.
